Anocha Suwichakornpong

Born in Thailand, Anocha Suwichakornpong graduates with a Master of Fine Arts in film from Columbia University in New York. Her thesis film, Graceland (2006), is screened at the Cannes Film Festival. She directs Lunch (2010), a part of Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, a feature co-directed by Kaz Cai and Wang Jing. Her first feature, Mundane History (2009), wins the VPRO Tiger award at the International Film Festival Rotterdam in 2010. In 2012, her short film Overseas, co-directed with Wichanon Somunjarn, is screened at Locarno in the section Pardi di domani – Corti d’autore.
