Susanna White

Started working as a maker of documentaries for the BBC. In 1996 she shot The Museum and, a year later, directed her first short fiction, Bicycle Thieves. In 2000 she made Tell Me The Truth About Love, a documentary in honour of W.H. Auden.

She then went on to direct episodes in various series and the TV-movie Love Again. She holds a BAFTA as principal director of the miniseries Generation Kill, having achieved another great success with the miniseries Bleak House and Jane Eyre, both for the BBC.
