Melle (France), 1961. Ressources humaines (Human Resources, 1999) won the New Directors Award at San Sebastian Festival, and the César for Best First Film and Most Promising Actor (Jalil Lespert).

It was followed by L’emploi du temps (Time Out), Golden Lion at Venice, and Vers le sud (Heading South), both screened in Zabaltegi-Pearls at San Sebastian Festival.

Entre les murs landed the Golden Palm at Cannes Festival 2008.
