Michel Gondry

Born in Versailles on 8 May 1963, he played drums for the band Oui Oui. He stayed with the band until 1992, making two albums, several singles and directing his first music videos.

He subsequently made promos for Björk, The Chemical Brothers, Massive Attack, Daft Punk, Cibo Matto and many others.

He made his first feature film, Human Nature, based on a screenplay by Charlie Kaufman, in 2001. He and co-writer Kaufman re ceived an Oscar in 2004 for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
