Julie Gavras

The daughter of Costa-Gavras, Julie Gavras studied literature and law. After graduating she worked as an assistant director in Italy and France on her father’s films but also on films by directors such as Robert Enrico and Jacques Nolot. She directed her first short film in 1998 and made her first documentary in the year 2000, followed by a number of magazine features for the broadcaster arte among others. After LA FAUTE A FIDEL! (2006), LATE BLOOMERS marks her second outing as a feature film director, brodcasted at the Berlinale 2011 in the "Berlinale Special" category. (Source : Berlin Film Festival)
