Born in Epinal on 18 August 1966. After studying literature she took up studies at the Paris film school FEMIS in 1988.
She directed her first, medium-length film, Nulle Part, in 1992 and made a name for herself internationally with her first feature film, En Avoir (ou pas) in 1995.
