Michael Hegner

Michael Hegner started his career in the animation world as an assistant in 1987. Shortly afterwards, he was already working on animations and storyboards, particularly in films like Werner-Beinhart (1990) or Jungle Jack (1993). The nineties played also a decisive role as he began shooting TV spots and ads which helped him develop a quick, imaginative style. Between 1998 and 2000 he co-directed his first animation film, Help I am a fish!, along with Stefan Fjeldmark, and that meant the beginning of a prolific career which he channeled by creating his own company, HegnerAnimation, in 2008.
