Carlos Serrano Azcona

Madrid, 1969. Graduate in Philosophy from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

In 2006, he founded his production company, Estar Ahí Cinema, with which he produced, alongside the directors Jaime Rosales and Carlos Reygadas and the producer Jaime Romandía, his first feature as a director and screenwriter, El árbol.

This film was selected for Films in Progress 14 at 2008 San Sebastian Festival, thus launching an international career thanks to which it was screened at the Rotterdam, Buenos Aires, Moscow and Munich festivals, among others.
