According to the jury of four European exhibitors, unanimous winner La Pivellina "is a film with a big heart, which takes a generous, unpretentious and optimistic look at those on the margins of our society, without morally judging them. The directors’ experience in documentaries gives the film realistic credibility, drawing viewers into its world, whilst fully involving them. The acting is superb. The universal themes and human warmth of cross-generational relationships explored in the film will have a real impact on audiences in European theatres."
