From Warsaw to Copenhagen with Fly’s new film

) has just finished shooting in Warsaw on part of a new film by Danish director Per Fly (Manslaughter [+see also:
trailer
film profile
]
), entitled The Woman That Dreamed About A Man. Lensing, which also took place in Paris, will wrap in Copenhagen.

Written by Dorte W. Høegh, The Woman That Dreamed About A Man centres on a famous Danish artist and fashion photographer (Sonia Richter), who leads an eventful life and is always travelling. One day, in Paris, she meets a man (Marcin Dorocinski ) who immediately awakens strong feelings in her.

This unexpected encounter sparks a decisive turning point in her life and they begin a passionate relationship.

Produced with backing from The Danish Film Institute, Polish Film Institute and Norwegian Film Institute, The Woman That Dreamed About A Man has a €3m budget. The film is expected to be released in early 2010.

Fly is no stranger to Poland and Polish cinema for he was taught, at Copenhagen Film School, by Wojciech Marczewski (Weiser, Escape from the Liberty Cinema). The Danish filmmaker was also one of the experts involved in the ECRAN training programme launched by the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing.
