Landscape No. 2 broadens horizons

film profile] has been chosen by the Association of Slovenian Filmmakers (ASF) as the country's submission for the Best Foreign Language Film for the 2010 Academy Awards.
The thriller was produced by Forum Ljubljana and is the last year's winner of the Festival of Slovenian Film, where it received six Vesna Awards: for Best Film, Director, Supporting Actress, Cinematography, Production Design and Music. It also received the Best Script Award at the Brooklyn Festival in New York. International sales are handled by Wide Management, from which Vanguard picked up US rights.
Four films were submitted for the Academy Award selection, which, according to Academy rules, had to be shown in local cinemas last year. The other three titles were: Damjan Kozole’s Forever [+see also:
