Helen Anderson, Director of BAFTA Scotland said: “I’m delighted to announce the nominations for 2009. The sheer volume of films, TV and games produced in Scotland this year is staggering – a real testament to Scotland’s burgeoning industry. There is some inspiring talent both in front of and behind the camera. I’m looking forward to next month’s ceremony and announcing our winners.”
This year, for the first time, there are three distinct digital media awards – sponsored by Scottish Enterprise. This recognises the increasing contribution played by Scotland’s games, web and interactive markets to the nation’s moving image industries.
