European films take centre stage at Gijón

The 14 titles in Official Selection at the 47th Gijón International Film Festival (November 19-28) have already been revealed. There are no less than 10 European productions, including just one Spanish co-production, Bad Day to Go Fishing, the debut feature by Uruguayan director Álvaro Brechner.

Added to the previously announced films (see news) are four more European works. These include Alex Van Warmerdam’s bitter Dutch family drama The Last Days of Emma Blank [+see also:
