SND shows off Franco-Italian assets at AFM

International seller SND has an enticing slate and intends to finish the season with a flourish at the American Film Market, which kicked off yesterday and will close on November 11.

The team headed by Lionel Uzan will show two Italian features: Giuseppe Capotondi’s Venice award-winner The Double Hour [+see also:

Two French features are being sold on the basis of the screenplay: Fabienne Berthaud’s Lily Sometimes (see news), starring German actress Diane Kruger and Ludivine Sagnier; and Olivier Abbou’s horror thriller Territories.

Helmed by Paris-based companies Capture [The Flag] Films (whose filmography includes The Horde [+see also:

) and Noodles Production, the latter film is a French/Canadian co-production which has just started shooting. It traces the terrifying misadventures of five friends arrested by the border police.

SND is also hoping for success with four other Gallic titles currently in post-production, for which promo-reels will be presented: Cédric Anger’s thriller The Counsel (see news), whose cast includes Benoît Magimel, Gilbert Melki, Aïssa Maïga and Eric Caravaca; Renaud Bertrand’s romantic drama Just the 3 of Us (see news), starring Emmanuelle Béart, Jacques Gamblin and Italian actor Stefano Accorsi; Hugues Martin’s supernatural thriller Stranded (see news); and, finally, François Favrat’s Bitter Victory (see news), which stars Clovis Cornillac, Christian Clavier and Sami Bouajila and will be launched in French theatres by Mars Distribution on December 2.
