In the Loop scores Scottish BAFTA hat trick

has won three of the major awards at the BAFTA Scotland Awards 2009, winning the Writing in Film or Televison, Directing in Film or Television and Acting Performance in Film categories.

Justin Molotnikov’s Crying With Laughter took the Feature Film award, beating off competition from Richard Jobson’s New Town Killers [+see also:

]
and Doug Aubrey and Peri Ibrahim's documentary film Kurdi.

Helen Anderson, Director of BAFTA Scotland said, “It was a fantastic night, showcasing the breadth and quality of Scottish talent in the moving image industries. Our new venue, the Glasgow Science Centre, made us feel very much at home and we were delighted to welcome so many stars and industry colleagues from across Scotland, the UK and beyond to our celebration.”
