Loft among 10 European titles to open in Osaka

by Erik Van Looy will have its Japanese premiere at the 16th Osaka European Film Festival. The non-competitive showcase takes place for the entire month of November, and includes several events parallel to its core section of ten European premieres.

Jan Decleir, one of Flanders’ most acclaimed film and theatre actors, will present Loft as well a mini-retrospective on his career that includes another collaboration with Van Looy, The Alzheimer Case [+see also:

, as well as 1993 title Priester Daens by Stijn Coninx.

Osaka is also hosting a section of animated films made by Lithuanian children, photo exhibitions by Kris Dewitte and the exhibit Sayonara Maurice!, dedicated to composer Maurice Jarre, who passed away last March. Jarre had been Osaka’s 15th edition commissioner.
