German audiences like Si Può Fare

has won the 12th edition of Cinema! Italia!, a three-month film event organized by the association Made in Italy. Kicked off in September, the event was held in 27 German cities, with films presented by their directors and cast.

Viewers at the screenings – made possible with a contribution from the Ministry of Culture and Institute for Foreign Commerce and support from several German Cultural Institutes – were urged to “grade” each film. Besides choosing the Audience Award recipient, this method also gave German distributors a concrete opportunity to evaluate audience interest in the selected titles.

Based on the strong public reaction, German distributor Kairos Films has begun negotiations on Manfredonia’s film, which was produced by Angelo Rizzoli.
