Amrion prepares One More Croissant

Riina Sildos’ Amrion Production plans to start shooting Ilmar Raag’s new film One More Croissant – starring French leading lady Danièle Darrieux and Estonia’s Laine Mägi – in early 2010.

, which travelled extensively in 2007. Based on the director’s mother’s memories, One More Croissant will focus on a strong relationship that develops between an aging French lady and her caretaker, an Estonian woman.

The €2.7m film is produced by Sildos in co-production with Agnes Feuvre (TS Productions) in France. “Raag is currently in Paris preparing the film and we’re negotiating with a French actor to join the cast,” said Sildos.

The 2007 Producer on the Move and head of Baltic Event is also working on a new animated film based on the popular character Lotte the dog. The new feature film Lotte and the Moonstone Secret will be made by the same creative and financial team behind the previous, successful Lotte from Gadgetville [+see also:

: directors Heiki Emits and Janno Põlda and Latvian co-producers Rija Films. The €3.7m project will be sold once again by Sola Media, which licensed Lotte from Gadgetville to approximately 50 territories.

(Estonia’s number one local film in 2008 with over 46,000 admissions) is being negotiated for world distribution by US sales agent Shoreline Entertainment.
