Five Swiss films get export funding
To encourage European distributors to distribute Swiss films, promotion agency Swiss Films, in co-operation with the Federal Office for Culture, allocates €240,000 per year in export funding.
At the latest funding allocation session, €25,000 was granted to X Verleih for the German release of Christoph Schaub’s Julia’s Disappearance [+see also:

film profile], and €10,000 to Thim Film for its Austrian release.
French company Pyramide Distribution also received €25,000 for the release of Frédéric Mermoud’s Partners.
Documentaries were not forgotten: for the German release of Christian Labhart’s Zwischen Himmel und Erde and Vadim Jendreyko’s The Woman with the 5 Elephants, Mindjazz Pictures and Real Fiction Films both obtained €7,500.
Meanwhile, Filmmuseum Amsterdam was granted €6,500 for Dutch distribution of Peter Liechti’s The Sounds of Insects [+see also:
