Mammuth rumoured to be selected

According to our sources, Benoît Delépine and Gustave Kervern’s fourth feature, Mammuth (see news), is set to take part in the 60th Berlin Film Festival (February 11-21, 2010) with a strong chance of being showcased in official competition.

Starring Gérard Depardieu, Yolande Moreau and Isabelle Adjani, with minor appearances by Belgian actors Benoît Poelvoorde and Bouli Lanners, and Dutch singer Dick Annegarn, the film was produced by GMT Productions and No Money Productions in co-production with Arte France Cinéma, DD Productions and Monkey Pack Films. It will be launched in French theatres on April 21 by Ad Vitam. International sales are being handled by Funny Balloons.

Also selected for the Berlin competition is Roman Polanski’s majority French production The Ghost Writer [+see also:

, starring Ireland’s Pierce Brosnan and UK actors Ewan McGregor and Kim Catrall. Helmed by RP Productions, this French/German/UK co-production will be released in France on March 3 by Pathé.
