Funding for first films

- ICAM earmarks 898,000 Euros for first-time directors. The deadline for submissions is 11 October

Portugal’s Instituto do Cinema, Audiovisual and Multimedia (ICAM) announced a new competition for funding for first-time films with a total of Euros 898,000 at disposal, and a per-film upper limit of Euros449,000.
ICAM was created as a means of funding Portughese film production and they organise several annual competitions for short and feature-length films every year. ICAM also looks favourably on co-productions embarked upon by Portughese-speaking companies.
