Marco Pozzi tackles drama of anorexia in MalediMiele

Shooting has ended in Milan on MalediMiele (literally, “Honey Sickness”) by Marco Pozzi, a documentary director making who made his feature debut in 2000 with Twenty, which premiered in the Berlinale Forum.

MalediMiele, produced by newly established company 3per, is about one of the most dramatic problems among young people, and tells the story of Sara, an adolescent who falls prey to anorexia.

The film's cast includes Gian Marco Tognazzi, Sonia Bergamasco, Isa Barziza and Benedetta Gargari, the young emerging actress who appeared in two Ferzan Ozpetek films (Facing Windows [+see also:

''Maledimiele does away with all voyeuristic complacency and tries to take audiences into the disease, without being morbid, and to make them see the world through Sara's eyes,” says Pozzi.
