Bellocchio’s Vincere wins over Bari critics and audiences

“Audiences were the true stars of the first edition of the Bif&st - Bari International Film & Tv Festival. The 331 events that made up the programme were followed, from morning til night, by over 41,000 paying and non-paying spectators," said artistic director Felice Laudadio at the press conference that closed the event yesterday (see news).

, from a competition section of the best 15 Italian features of 2009, chosen by 11 of the country’s top film critics. Selected films had to have been distributed theatrically or selected at international film festivals from January 1-December 31, 2009.

The jury presided over by Margarethe von Trotta and comprising Cedomir Kolar, Moritz de Hadeln, Klaus Eder and Eva Zaoralova, were unanimous in their decisions.
