Bushido makes sensational start
The biopic on rap star Bushido, Zeiten Ändern Sich ("Times Are Changing"), by Uli Edel (The Baader Meinhof Complex [+see also:
film profile]), has made a sensational box office start, amassing around 80,000 admissions (according to kino-zeit) on its release on Thursday, February 4.
This film phenomenon, distributed by Constantin, in which Bushido appears alongside Moritz Bleibtreu and Hannelore Elsner (see news), has thus knocked Avatar from the top spot it had occupied for the past seven weeks.
In Austria, the grand premiere of the film (launched on Friday 5 by Constantin) had to be cancelled for security reasons, as too many fans had gathered to catch a glimpse of the star.
