Julia’s Disappearance scoops honours at Mons

At the 26th Mons International Love Film Festival in Belgium (February 19-26), the Best Screenplay Award went to Swiss writer Martin Suter for Christoph Schaub’s Julia’s Disappearance [+see also:

The film, which includes outstanding performances by Bruno Ganz and Corinna Harfouch (who is a real revelation), has also received five nominations for the 2010 Quartz Swiss Film Prize, to be awarded on March 6 (see news).

Julia’s Disappearance has attracted 170,000 viewers in German-speaking Switzerland since its release in October, and Francophone and Italian-speaking Swiss audiences will be able to discover it when it hits screens this week. The film was also launched in Austria in February.
