EFP’s Film Sales Support takes 14 sales agents to Hong Kong
by Cineuropa
For the second year in a row, European Film Promotion (EFP) successfully offers Film Sales Support (FSS) to European sales agents for the marketing of European Films at the Hong Kong FILMART.
One of Asia's biggest markets takes place from March 22-25 and runs alongside the Hong Kong International Film Festival. This year, 14 sales agents and 17 Europeans films receive financial backing by EFP.
With the aim of opening up additional sales opportunities for European films to countries outside of Europe, EFP started to include important film markets into its FSS promotion scheme in 2009. "The ongoing demand from sales agents for support at markets shows that we made the right decision," says FSS Project Director Susanne Davis.
