Cinema allocated €75m in 2010 FUS
The law on the distribution of the National Arts Fund (FUS), signed March 4 by Minister of Culture Sandro Bondi, is currently awaiting a green light from the Italian Court of Accounts. The available funds for 2010 are just under €410m. Of that, 18.5% has been allocated to cinema, or nearly €76m (compared to €98 in 2001).
Meanwhile, during the February 25 meeting of the commission for cinema, a certificate of arthouse film was given to 10 titles, whose exhibitors will receive funds for programming. The films are: Antonio Campos’ Afterschool, Luc Besson’s Arthur and the Revenge of Maltazard [+see also:
