The slick thriller in the Millennium vein has sold a phenomenal 600,000 admissions in Sweden thus far, making it one of the biggest hits of 2010. It opened in Finland last weekend at number 11 at the box office, a very good start according to distributor Sari Selander (Biorex).

Other territories that have acquired rights from TrustNordisk include Spain (Contracorriente Films), France (MK2), Benelux (Lumière) and CIS/Baltics (Maywin Media). The film will be released in Norway in May and in Denmark this summer.

Easy Money is based on Jens Lapidus’ Stockholm Noir trilogy exploring the Swedish capital's underworld. The producer, director and entire cast and crew will start working on the two sequels in 2011.
