Norwegian critics root for Upperdog

The Norwegian Film Critics’ Association has chosen Sara Johnsen’s Upperdog [+see also:

film profile] as the Best Norwegian Feature Film of 2009.
This is the second time the 100-member association has voted for Johnsen, after her win in 2005 for her feature debut Kissed by Winter [+see also:
trailer
film profile].
Upperdog had its Norwegian premiere at the last Haugesund Film Festival in Norway and it recently won the Jury Grand Prix at the Nordic Film Festival in Rouen, France. The romantic drama produced by Christian Fredrik Martin and Asle Vatn (Producer on the Move 2010) for Friland Film has sold over 110,000 admissions in Norway. World sales are handled by SF International.
