String of sales for Films Distribution, MK2 and Rezo

Several deals have been sealed for the three European productions presented in the Directors’ Fortnight and sold by Paris-based international seller Films Distribution at the Film Market at the 63rd Cannes Film Festival.

(co-produced by Luxembourg and France) has been bought by Telepool for Germany, Archibald for Italy and Feel Good for Greece. Young French director Katell Quillevéré’s debut feature Love Like Poison [+see also:

has been acquired by Artificial Eye for the United Kingdom, while Jean-Stéphane Bron’s Swiss/French documentary Cleveland Versus Wall Street [+see also:

Films Distribution has also struck some successful deals with Pierre Thoretton’s documentary Yves Saint Laurent, L’amour Fou (“Yves Saint Laurent: Mad Love”), which has been bought in Europe by Non Stop for Scandinavia, Telepool for Germany and Q Media for Italy.

Meanwhile, Films Boutique, Films Distribution’s German arm, has sold Romanian director Radu Muntean’s Tuesday, After Christmas [+see also:

Among the results announced so far by the other French international sellers (still hard at work at Cannes), it can be revealed that MK2 has added Icon Film Distribution to its list of takers for Walter Salles’s next film (On the Road) with a group pre-acquisition for the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.

, which has already been bought for Spain (Wanda Vision), Benelux (Alternative Films with Wild Bunch for the Netherlands), Switzerland (Praesens), Greece (Seven Group), Poland (Epelpol), the countries of the former Yugoslavia (MCF Megacom) and Portugal (Atalanta Filmes).

Finally, Rezo Films has sold Antoine Blossier’s French horror feature Prey to IFC Films for the United States. The US distributor has also acquired Heartbeats by Canada’s Xavier Dolan.
