Confirming its dynamism in the field of Eastern and Southeastern European films (see news), French international seller Wide Management has announced the international premiere of Rajko Grlić’s Just Between Us [+see also:

film profile] in competition at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival (July 2-10).

Co-produced by Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia, the new film by the director of Border Post (which screened in competition at San Sebastian in 2006 and won awards at numerous international festivals) stars Miki Manojlović, who is well-known for his work in Emir Kusturica’s films.

Loïc Magneron’s team also adds to its line-up Alice Nellis’s Czech feature Mamas & Papas [+see also:

film profile], which will be screened for professionals only on July 5. The director of Some Secrets and Little Girl Blue [+see also:

film profile] (both crowned Best Czech Film in 2003 and 2008) this time explores several stories of couples who are all at a turning point in their lives.
