Wild Bunch snaps Cameraman

by

Sales agent High Point Films have sold all German and French rights for Craig McCall’s acclaimed feature documentary,Cameraman: The Life and Work of Jack Cardiff to Wild Bunch.

The film chronicles the contribution of the legendary British child actor, Oscar-winning cinematographer and celebrated director Jack Cardiff, whose career spanned nine decades. While introducing the film at a BFI screening, Martin Scorsese described him as “one of the last pioneers of movie-making and one of the first artists that gave us colour. He was able to create images of heart-stopping beauty and dynamism. Once seen, his images are never forgotten, they will never fade.”

Buyer interest has been keen in the film since its premiere at Cannes earlier this year and finally a deal was struck between Wild Bunch Managing Director Marc Gabizon and High Point's Director of Sales and Marketing, Elisar Cabrera.

High Point’s Carey Fitzgerald said, “We’re delighted to see Craig McCall's heartfelt film steadily gathering the recognition it deserves. We are confident of announcing further major deals in the near future.”

Cameraman will screen at the upcoming Dinard British Film Festival, and has also been selected for Ghent International Film Festival in October.
