- Specialised in the children’s sector, a Nordic sales company will handle the international sales for Belgium’s Science Fiction

Scandinavia’s Nordisk Film Sales are to handle the international sales for a Belgian children’s film, Science Fiction by Danny Deprez. Shot in Flemish and written by Jean-Claude Van Rijckeghem, it tells the story of two kids and their fear of an alien invasion of Earth. Nordisk Film Sales was chosen by virtue of their vast experience in the children’s film sector. Sanne Arloe, Nordisk Sales’ executive said that Science Fiction was different from Scandinavian films and she was optimistic about getting the film into the Kinderfest section of next year’s Berlin Film Festival. Produced by Ban Rijckeghem’s A privet View, and co-produced by the Netherlands’ Fu Works and Germany’s B&T Film Production, the Euros 2milion film was released this week in Belgium and screened at last week’s Cinekid festival in the Netherlands.
