Tavernier posts comments on DVD
French film director Bertrand Tavenier points the finger at DVD distributors.
Just as this audiovisual format is making headway all over Europe and the United States, Tavernier accused distributors of releasing too many titles without proper promotional backing and without extra content: “Either because of routine or unwillingness to spend money, DVDs are released without any support or extras, when the directors, actors and leading technicians are still alive and could contribute so easily.”
