Serdaris at the European Union Film Festival
The 7th Sun of Love directed by Vangelis Serdaris will represent Greece at this year’s European Union Film Festival (November 16 - December 1), organised by the National Archives of Canada in cooperation with the 15 EU member-states and the Delegation of the European Commission in Canada. The Festival showcases the best of contemporary films produced in the EU.
The 7th Sun of Love was shot in 2001. It is a love story and, at the same time, an historical drama set in Greece in the period of 1922 at the time of the Asia Minor disaster, an event that either directly or indirectly influences the characters and determines their behaviour.
This is just one of 15 Greek films at this Festival, and is part of a series of events organised by the Press Office of the Greek Embassy in Ottawa under the general title "Greece in Canada”.
