Broadcasters’ Participation

Both public and private broadcasters in Germany will participate actively in the Cined@ys 2002 celebrations by organising screenings of classical European works. Among the films presented are:
Auferstehung by Martin Schweizer (D)
I comme Icare by H. Verneuil (F)
Il diavolo nel cervello by Sergio Sollima (I)
The Eighteens by Anders Ronnow-Klarlund (DK)
Brazil by Terry Gilliam (UK)
Der kleine Grenzverkehr by Hans Deppe (D)
Broke by Benjamin Kempf (SV)
Klassentreffen by Diethard Küster (D)
Meeting Venus by Istvan Szabo (UK)
Malaga – Fire over Africa by Richard Sale (UK)
Eternity and a Day by Theo Angelopoulos (Gr)
Farinelli by Gerard Corbiau (B).
Furthermore, documentaries on European cinema and cultural daily magazines will be screened.
On what concerns the Netd@ys parallel celebrations, the public German broadcaster (ZDF) will participate in the “Netd@ys Image Competition” by giving one of its major prizes, that is an internship in the editing team of the children’s website www.tivi.de. ZDF will also organise a Cined@ys game for children on the Tivi website and the production of a thriller under the Cined@ys label, where children are asked to help the author to write the screenplay.
