Two new Irish films backed by the Irish Film Board's Low Budget Inititiave (launched at last July's Galway Fleadh) are currently shooting in Dublin.

German-based Media Luna is handling international sales.
The second low budget film is Halo Effect by Lance Daly, starring Stephen Rea, Simon Delaney and Gratton Smith. The dark comedy shooting in Dublin’s Dorset Street, is produced by Hughie Kelly and Mcdara Kellegher (Fastnet Films),with financial support from TV3 and Xtravision who have TV and video rights for Ireland. The Irish Film Board’s Low Budget Initiative provides financial contribution of up to 60% of a film’s budget, provided the film dosen’t exceed €1m, and both Headrush and Halo Efffect were each made for that amount.
