Special effects (F/X) company, Cinesite Europe, has recruited several ex-employees from former rival Mill Film that closed down its operations last November.
Antony Hunt, who was managing director of Mill Film between 1998-2002 was appointed MD at Cinesite Europe, Jose Granell is the new visual f/x supervisor, while directors of models, Simon Stanley-Clamp, Andy Kind, Ivor Middleton and Roston Wilcocks are Cinesite’s new computer graphics (CG) artists.
Colin Brown, deputy CEO of Cinesite worldwide said these appointments “reflect Cinesite’s growth over the past year and our plans for the strategic development of areas of our business”.
Last year, Cinesite Europe worked on the f/x of Harry Potter, Chamber of Secrets and James Bond’s Die Another Day and is involved in Tomb Raider 2.
