Oscailt 2002, the winnners

The Irish Film Board has just announced the names of the four titles selected from a total of 150 applicants to the Oscailt 2002 short film scheme. The lucky winners are Tango, to be produced by RiMedia Teo, written by Ide ni Cheallaigh, Sean Cooney and Ruth Nic Giolla Oasachta and directed by Sean Conney; Ciorca, to be produced by Line Productions and written and directed by Collette Cullen and Rosebud, produced by Trinity Films, written and directed by Keelan O’Rourke, and Ocras to be produced by Little Red Hen Films, written by Stephen McAnena and directed by Sean McGuire.
The Irish Film Board also announced that a former Oscailt short film, Caca Milis, directed by Jennifer Keegan and produced by Igloo Films, had been sold to The Short List, a 5-time Emmy-winning US programme produced by the San Diego University Film Department and networked on 90 Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) stations throughout the US.
