A service for Euro-coproductions

by

Exception is back with a bang! The French independent company that was set up in November 2002 on the lines of foreign sales outfit, Wild Bunch, announced it was opening a new services office for co-productions.
The new department will be headed up by Juliette Renaud, a former chief of foreign film acquisitions at Canal+. Her job description includes searching out foreign investors by means of the usual European co-production channels, new bilateral agreements, private investors and by making use of tax shelters.
This service can be accessed by all independent producers and is not limited to features, whose foreign sales will continue to be handled by Wild Bunch.
To begin with, Renaud is looking for partners for two forthcoming projects: one is an animated version of Patrick Grandperret’s 1993 live-action hit,L’enfant lion (The Lion Cub), to be co-produced by Odessa Film and Films de la Perrine while the second is Asia Argento’s new feature, currently in development by Muse Productions.
