Hanway handles the Young Adam

by

Young Adam, directed by David MacKenzie and produced by Jeremy Thomas, will shortly be delivered to Thomas’ sales company Hanway Films.
Starring Ewan McGregor, Tilda Swinton and Peter Mullan, it is the story of a young woman whose body is found floating in a canal by Joe, a drifter. As the storyline develops, we learn about a past relationship they had. This film is one of Warner Bros’ few UK pick-ups and is scheduled for a domestic release in May.
Mike Barker’s long-awaited To Kill A King starring Rupert Everett and Tim Roth will also come out that month – after premiering at the forthcoming American Film Market (19-26 Feb).
Two other Hanway-handled titles are currently in post-production, and likely to try to secure a slot at the next Cannes Film Festival (14-25 May 2003). They are Bernardo Bertolucci’s UK/French/Italian co-production The Dreamers, starring Michael Pitt and Eva Green, and Of Travellers and Magicians, the first full-length feature film to have been entirely shot in Bhutan by Khyentse Norbushould (Phörpa (The Cup).
