Danish actress, Paprika Steen (Okay, Open Hearts and Festen), a two-time Bodil Award nominee, is about to make her directorial feature debut with Lad de smaa boern (Suffer The Little Children). Produced with a Euros2m budget (half of which was provided by the Danish Film Institute), it is a drama about the impact on a married couple, played by Mads Mikkelsen and Sofie Grabol, of their daughter’s death in a road accident. Suffer The Little Children is produced by Thomas Heinsen of Nordisk Film, with Danish state broadcaster, DR and TV1000.
