Picturehouse enters Herzog’s Cave

by

Picturehouse Entertainment, the distribution arm of City Screen, has acquired rights for Werner Herzog’s 3D documentary feature Cave of Forgotten Dreams and will release across the UK and Ireland on March 25 next year.

Herzog’s film premiered at Toronto earlier this year. It shows the results of his exclusive access to the recently discovered Chauvet caves in the South of France, and their cave paintings, dating back 32,000 years. The Chauvet Cave, which contains the earliest known cave paintings, was discovered in 1994 and is considered one of the most significant prehistoric art sites.
