The first online film festival organised by Unifrance (see interview) has been hailed as a success beyond expectations. From January 14-29, myFrenchFilmFestival attracted 310,000 Internet users from 171 different countries for over 1.3m page views.

In the ranking of countries with the most site visits, Brazil is ahead of the United States, Russia, Mexico, France, the United Kingdom, Colombia, Japan, the United Arab Emirates and Spain.

The different platforms that hosted the festival registered 38,000 viewings led by four territories where access was free (Brazil, Russia, Colombia and Mexico). Next in line are the United States (paid access), Argentina (free access), France, Italy, Spain and Germany (all paid access).

Paid viewings represented about 45% of total figures, while free access was possible in some countries thanks to the coverage of technical costs and payment of rights-holders by Unifrance with backing from a private partner.
