East Silver calls for documentary submissions
The 8th East Silver documentary market is now open for submissions from filmmakers from Eastern and Central Europe.
The East Silver Market 2011 (October 25-30) is looking for completed documentaries produced 2010–2011, English subtitled or with an English voiceover and trailer.
At the same time, the East Silver Project Market is looking for projects in post-production or rough cuts which are ready to be presented to sales agents and festival selectors in October 2011.
East Silver is the only market that supports producers and distributors from Central and East Europe. Each year, filmmakers from more than 29 countries submit about 350 films for consideration.
Films selected for East Silver enter the largest internationally recognized database of creative feature and television documentary films from Central and Eastern Europe. The East Silver database is an essential reference for Eastern European documentaries. Printed catalogues are distributed to over 500 film professionals. East Silver also puts the complete database on line and gives film professionals worldwide the opportunity to stream market titles after the event.
Submissions are also open for the 15th Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival (JIDFF, October 25-30) program pre-selection and Doc Alliance Films pre-selection.

East Silver is organized in cooperation with the Institute of Documentary Film and takes place at the JIDFF.
