Nokas triumphs at Arras, Rebellion at Sarlat

Yesterday, Norwegian director Erik Skjoldbjærg (see news) won the Golden Atlas in European competition at the 12th Arras International Film Festival (see news) for Nokas [+see also:

. The film, which also nabbed Best Director and Best Screenplay at this year’s Amanda Norwegian Film Awards, reconstructs a dramatic robbery that took place on April 5, 2004 when 11 armed men attacked the headquarters of the Nokas company in Stavanger to steal the money supplying the cash dispensers. But nothing went according to plan.

In the Nord-Pas-de-Calais city, the jury headed by Claude Lelouch awarded the Silver Atlas to British helmer John McIlduff’s Behold the Lamb, while the Audience Award went to Polish director Rafael Lewandowski’s The Mole [+see also:
