The 24th Angers Premiers Plans Festival, devoted to debut films by European directors, is presenting a number of German (co)productions, including the competition titles Alois nebel [+see also:

film profile] by Michale Boganim, co-produced in Germany by Vandertastic, who also participated in Maroccan debutante Leila Kilani's On the Edge (selected in the French Debut Films section).
In the European Schools sidebar, the public will discover Doroteya Droumeva's Der Brief/The Letter and Micah Magee's Heimkommen.
Angers is also featuring the short film Apele Tac/Silent River by Romanian director Anca Miruna Lazarescu, the animated title Wandern Haus voll Vogelwasser by Veronika Samartseva, and Anne Linsel's Tanzträume, produced by TAG/TRAUM, is screening within the ambit of the Dance & Cinema retrospective.
