- Paris is hosting a Panorama of contemporary Hellenic cinema, starting with Cristo Dimas' The Cistern

The third edition of Panorama of Greek Cinema gets underway in Paris today, 4 March. Organised by the Greek Consulate, ARP (Writers, Directors, Producers) and the Greek Film Centre (GFC), the programme includes 13 features and 6 short films and will run until 18 March.
The review is a way of introducing French audiences to rarely seen Greek films and the event will be opened by Cristo Dimas’ Les acrobates du jardin (The cistern) – presented by the director and his cast. by Robert Manthoulis (selected at the 2002 Venice Film Festival) and Le voeu d'Evagoras by Andreas Pantzis.
The organisers have put together an eclectic mix of filmmakers that includes talents as varied as Maria Iliou, Vagelis Serdaris, Constantine Giannaris, Penny Panayotopoulos, Sotiris Goritsas, Georges Zaphiris, Nikos Grammatikos, Vangelis Seitanidis and Nikos Panayotopoulos.
