Hormann’s film is a production by Martin Moszkowicz for Constantin, initially taken up by the late Bernd Eichinger (as producer and co-scriptwriter with Ruth Toma) before his death last year.

3,096 has received support from Bavarian Fund FFF Bayern and from the FFA, and will be filmed in English. Now, the director has found its main actress: Natascha will be played by Ireland’s shooting star for 2012, Antonia Campbell-Hughes (see interview), opposite Danish actor b>Thure Lindhardt as Priklopil.

Shooting will start next month in Munich, and Constantin has set the release date for next year. The director of photography is to be Michael Ballhaus, who has often worked with Martin Scorcese.
