(photo) will open the 12th edition of the Nuovo Cinema Italia, the festival of Italian cinema taking place in Vienna from May 31- June 22, in the presence of the director and the actress Margherita Di Rauso.

The festival, which has been running since 2001, takes place in the Votiv Kino, a prestigious cinema in the centre of Vienna, specialised in high quality cinema. It's an initiative of the Made in Italy association, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute and the Ministry for Cultural Goods and Activities / General Directorate for Cinema and, after Vienna, there will also be a tour around Austria, stopping off in Innsbruck and Graz.

The festival will also offer up a tribute to Margherita Buy, showing four of the actress' brilliant performances, with the screening of Gabriele Salvatores' Happy Family [+see also:
